Truck Accident Attorney

BMW Driver Killed in Head-on Collision with Semi Truck

A man driving a BMW sedan was struck and killed recently on State Highway 75, by a flatbed truck in tow with another truck. The sheriff’s office said that both of the truck drivers consented to blood draws at a local hospital, according to Your Houston News. It is not believed that alcohol was a factor.

If you are in an accident with an 18-wheeler, you may be badly injured. If you are able, you should call 911 and check other people involved for injuries, as well. Remain at the scene, if it is safe, until the police let you leave, unless you are taken to the hospital.

If you stay at the scene, speak to the other people involved and get their names, contact numbers and insurance information. Do not admit fault, even if you believe that you might have been partly to blame. Take photographs of all the vehicles involved, if the scene is safe.

Especially if you cannot speak for yourself, you need a truck accident attorney in Houston to stand up for you. Having an excellent lawyer can mean the difference between getting what you deserve and getting a lesser settlement that doesn’t pay for your losses.

Your attorneys, Kirkendall Dwyer LLP, will explain the situation to you in terms that you can understand. They are familiar with 18-wheeler accidents, and in recovering the maximum in benefits for their clients. They will help you in understanding what you should and should not do after an accident, and the benefits you are entitled to.

When you speak with your truck accident attorney in Houston, they will fully investigate your accident claim, including speaking with witnesses and examining crime scene reports and photos. Whether the trucker was fatigued or simply trying to make an unrealistic deadline, the trucking company should accept responsibility for the accident and pay you for your medical treatments and property damages.
