Accidents happen. Don’t forget to contact your Truck Accident Attorney

Although details about the accident, which occurred in Eaton Township, Michigan, are still vague, we do know that a young girl and a bus driver are currently in the hospital and police investigations are ongoing.

Around 8:25, on the morning of Thursday, January 23, an Eatran bus (a local transportation company) carrying the driver and the child as a passenger, made a complete stop at a stop sign on Flanders Road and M-50 (Clinton Trail).

Shortly after proceeding, the bus was hit by a semi truck. The force of the crash was so great that the small girl was thrown from the bus.

The nature of the driver and child’s injuries are not altogether known at this time. Although we do understand that the bus driver suffered back injuries. Both were taken to the hospital, and, thankfully, both are expected to survive. The driver of the semi truck was not injured. Police investigations are ongoing.

While this is a terrible and tragic accident, and the main focus should be on the life and well being of the little girl and driver, there are also other concerns at play here. The semi truck driver, for example, should contact a truck accident attorney as soon as possible.

There’s a good chance the company he drives for has a truck accident attorney, as well, but it’s important to take measures immediately to understand the company’s stance. They could very well use the lawyer against their own driver if they feel he or she is to blame.

This is why every Texas driver should consult with a truck accident attorney like the professionals who work at Kirkendall Dwyer LLP. They can outline the laws affecting drivers and explain to them how they need to respond in situations like this.
